About this page

This page is about the additional Experiment settings you can make under More options.

More options

Find the More options-tab in the top bar, after selecting Experiment Settings on the left. More options is for setting further specifics. Session duration, edit the confidence level used to decide significant difference, connect external tools like Google Analytics, and more.

Experiment visitor coverage

This is to set the portion of visitors who will be included in the Experiment. Instead of all visitors.
For example: drag the blue dot to 60% and only 6 visitors out of 10 visitors will be included in the A/B test. Those 4 remaining visitors will not join the Experiment and see the original page.

3rd-party integrations

Set up Adobe Analytics (ex-SiteCatalyst)

This is how to share test information with Adobe Analytics:

On the More options-tab, go to 3rd Party integrations and Adobe Analytics (ex-SiteCatalyst). Check the box link with Adobe Analytics.
Enter the Variable names in the field, for example eVar72, prop44.
Multiple variables should be separated by comma (,).
Click Save on the top left to save the settings.

To use this function, add a JavaScript snippet to the page HTML.
Find all details at Integrate Adobe Analytics (ex-SiteCatalyst).

Set up Google Universal Analytics

This is how to share test information with Google Universal Analytics.
Before continuing, first create a new custom dimension in your Google Universal Analytics-account.
Input that index-number into our Index of custom dimension-field (see below).

On the More options-tab, go to 3rd Party integrations and Google Universal Analytics. Check the box link with Google Universal Analytics.
Next, enter the index-number from Google Universal Analytics.

When using a modified tracking code and name, please enter the name in the Custom tracker-field.
To use this function, add the Google Universal Analytics JavaScript snippet to the page HTML.

Set up Classic Google Analytics

See here how to share test information with Classic Google Analytics.
You will need your Custom variable key number from your Classic Google Analytics-account.
Input the number into our Custom variable key number-field (see below).

On the More options-tab, go to 3rd Party integrations and Classic Google Analytics. Check the box link with Classic Google Analytics.
Next, enter the Custom variable key number you got at Classic Google Analytics. In the free version, this number will be between 1 and 5. In Premium Google Analytics, the number will be between 1 and 50.

When using a modified tracking code and name, please enter the name in the Custom tracker-field.
To use this function, add the Classic Google Analytics JavaScript snippet to the page HTML.
Find all details at Integrate Classic Google Analytics.

Session time starts when a visitor accesses the Experiment URL.
All conversions occurring within the set time will be measured.

Details of the Session cookie timeout:

  • Default Session cookie timeout-time is 12 hours
  • Available range is between 0 hours and 0 minutes, and 23 hours and 59 minutes.
  • If the setting is 0 hours and 0 minutes, the session will run until the browser is closed.

Confidence level

This setting allows you to put your trust in the Significant difference into a percentage. For example: when you input 95 as your setting, Significant difference will be reached once 95 out of 100 tests converse as expected.

If you lower the number, the period in which the Significant difference is determent will become shorter. The range for this setting is between 60% and 99.9%.
